Heroes kick total ass (Koss is my personal Mending Wammo pet, but he does what I tell him! YES!), and take a lot of the sting out of henchway.
Interface changes are sweetly awesome.
I hope the Heroes using unlocked skills stays. A VERY good way to get people to consider alternate ways of acquiring skills.
So many things I've seen improved in this game. I just LOVE it! Thanks for making PVE fun again. Anet has my 50$ next month, without a single doubt.

Kudos to Anet for the Nightfall preview. I enjoyed the music and the lovely Elonian landscape, especially the bogs, reminiscent of KOTOR's Kashyyyk. Nightfall seems to be a combination of the many rpgs I love, such as KOTOR and Morrowind.
I notice references to those games as well, such as the skill "Ebon Hawk" and the "Sun and Moon" shield.
I also like the Hero system, which is a lot like what's used in KOTOR as well.
Just one question. I noticed Hero weapons can't apparently be customised. Is this by design?

I seriously had a gut wrenching feeling that Nightfall would make me want to stop playing Guild Wars if it turned out ANYTING like Factions. The preview itself is SO SO refreshing its pretty much a new game alltogether! GRATZ to the new Guild Wars release and GRATZ for making so many people excited at the point of completely revitalizing the veteran player base!! I can honestly say i have seen hundreds of self-reported GW veterans say that this preview has single handedly brought them back to the game! THANKS again~! Anet, and all companies involved, GREAT job!

Actually, in the preview the heros CAN use weapons that have already been customized to yourself. I do not know if this is intentional or a bug, i guess we will find out when NF is release!

And to the OP, that quest is quite simple. Get the quest, follow the green arrow, kill the Evil Mime (i always knew they were EVIL!) then click the trapped Voices to set them free! Quest complete!
cheers!

Although I would recommend something different for the server side of things. I've been on during the weekend, but when we hit peak time around 9 pm est, its GG and Err 7 all over the place...

Just wanted to add my thanks, fairly swift responses to bugs, etc from the Anet team. After playing through the story line as far as we can go, I really like Nightfall. I really like the slower leveling (as compared to Factions), feels more like Prophecies (the game I fell in love with). I really like the hero's, although I found the only way that "I" could keep them under control was to set them to 'defensive' mode. All in all, I can't wait for the release, I'll probably buy the collectors edition after playing the preview. Now I'll have to find something else to do in game until Oct. 27th.
Thx again Anet,
SR

I didnt want to sound too negative in that last post...But you all have really thought this thing through, so far Nightfall looks pretty solid in game play. And the Hero system is tops. GJ

thanks for making the female paragon dance that finally toppled the female ranger dance once and for all and for still not implementing monthly fees.
